Landowner Relationships
Our goal is to provide our landowners with the best yields possible in an industry that is subject to the unpredictability of weather and market prices. One unchanging variable is our consistent success in achieving good results.
Long-term: Every landowner that trusts in us to farm their land has become part of our extended family. We seek to serve them and care for their land as if it were our own.
Accountability: We strive to maintain open lines of communication and to go over and beyond by providing maps, statistics, photos, emails, and quarterly newsletters, to help the landowners stay connected to us and their land.
Stewardship of the Land: We farm the land as if it were our own; taking steps to ensure its fertility and provide proper drainage, while using good conservation techniques to optimize its growing potential and longevity.
McEvoy Family Farms strives to become our landowner’s most valued partner. Our team will produce a quality crop in a safe and efficient manner, as well as offer a variety of services that will help the landowner manage their farm. Management decisions for each farm are made to insure that the production potential for that property is maintained. We are willing to work with our landowners to determine the arrangement that best meets all of our needs.
Cash Rent Lease – A fair cash rent is paid to the landowner each year for use of the ground.
Crop Share Lease – The crop income and crop expenses, excluding labor and machinery costs, are shared between the landowner and operator.
Flexible Cash Rent Lease – Landowner receives a guaranteed base cash rent amount, in addition to a potential flex payment triggered by performance of the crop.
