McEvoy Family Farms

Joe is a fifth generation family farmer. He started farming right out of high school in the midst of the farm crisis. He has done everything from raise turkeys, hogs, cattle, corn, soybeans, and alfalfa. His favorite thing about farming is the way of life that it provides for him and his family. He really enjoys driving truck in his free time. 

President

Maureen has been actively involved on the farm every since she started seeing Joe. Once a city girl, now a farm girl. She currently works at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids and manages their palliative care department. She enjoys combining in the fall and helping with tillage in the spring. 

Vice President

Andrew is a sixth generation family farmer. He is currently a senior at Iowa State University majoring in Agricultural Studies and Agronomy. Andrew is the owner/operator of the cow-calf side of our farm. After graduation, Andrew wants to find a job close to home and farm alongside his dad. 

Assistant Farm Manager

Jessica is currently a senior at the University of Nothern Iowa. When she has time, Jess loves to return home to the farm to help out. Her favorite time of the year is calving and always enjoys riding along with her dad. 

Off Farm

Brian is currently living in Ankeny, Iowa and is working for John Deere. He works in their tillage department by helping design their new equipment. Brian graduated from Iowa State University with a Masters Degree in Agricultural Systems Technology. He loves to come home on weekends and help with the technology side of our operation. He also enjoys spending time in the tractor whether its doing tillage or running the grain cart.
