Farm Update

We recently finished with fungicide application on our corn and did some trial with spraying the beans with a combination of fungicide/insecticide/foliar feed. We will see how it goes... Time will tell. Now we get to watch the crop grow as our tasks are completed until harvest. To keep busy, we made sweetcorn, fixed tile, and built some new fence for the cows... There's always something to do!

We had an F2 tornado go through our area today! It was about a mile south of the home place as you can see in the top picture. Luckily, we didn't have any damage but the neighboring town did so we went to go help pick up!

We have been busy hauling old-crop corn to town. It has been very wet these last month... receiving close to 7.5 inches of rain as well as hail. Soybeans are looking good and corn is just starting to tassel!

As far as cattle, the cows are happy on the pasture and the bulls were turned out on father's day. The calves are full of energy and growing very quickly!
